Advice needed re Hamburg.

Hi all, am thinking of booking a quick Hamburg-S'oton trip in July..can anyone tell me how easy it is to get from HAM airport to the dock where QM2 sails from?? Any top tips? Thanks in advance x.

IIrc it takes about 30 minutes by cab and was about 30 euros. Great sail out along the Elbe, well worth doing.

The best (quickest) way is to get the train S-Bahn (S1) every 10 minutes and takes 25 minutes from Hamburg airport (Right under the terminal) to Hamburg central station, then taxi to the ship.

 

The cost on the train was €2.70 each and the cab journey was not much as it is only about about a mile.

 

A taxi from the airport the the ship would cost in the region of €25-€40, and depending on traffic, it would take a lot longer then the train.

 

We done it last year the other way round ship in and flight out and am doing same again on 5th June sailing.
