Question about Dress Code-mostly Breakaway related

I know after reading these threads what everyone says is the "dress code" for NCL but in the new Breakaway Video and the "Love for Sail commercial it seems the style of dress is a little more than what I had thought was the "cruise casual" I had read about.

 

I know advertisements tend to show things in a different light but I was wondering snce Breakaway is a "new" ship will people tend to dress a bit better? Did this happen on the Epic when she first sailed?

 

Just want to be prepared.

Since I have never cruised before...that's exactly the answer I was hoping for!!! They were dressed way over the top for me :)

Freestyle Cruising is based on the fact you dont HAVE to dress up... You can though... or anything in between.

The way that NCL dress code has been declining over the last couple years, by the time Breakaway sails, there may not be any at all!!

I think a good way to get an idea of how passengers dress is to youtube any of the ship videos taken from previous passengers themselves where they show different parties or pool areas.
