CAS Slot Card Question

Have heard that lately CAS has been changing the card levels and using up the old cards.. Last cruise I was given a gold card - I am bronze, which always used to come at roughly 7500 points per rolling year, short of Gold, which was 40,000 points per year (I am usually around 20-25K per year). Asked for an extra card, got a Platinum card, which was somewhere around 100K points per rolling year. I asked about the Gold and Plat cards, they assured me I was at least bronze level, they were using up the old cards, then gave me the usual CAS bronze dinner with wine, etc.. Would be interesting to know what the newest levels are. My guy at CAS left (why do they keep leaving me?? :D) so I need to find someone new again at CAS to ask.. I would think they should be done with the revamping of levels by now...

CAS slot cards come in different colors. Wondering what they represent. I saw an explanation here awhile ago, but now I did a search and can't find it. Thanks.

The CAS cards are color coded to represent different tiers in the system.

1st Tier: Purple (all new players through 8,000 seabucks)

2nd Tier: Bronze (8,000 seabucks)

3rd Tier: Gold (40,000 seabucks)

4th Tier: Platinum (200,000 seabucks)

Glad to see it's back on the website, it was gone for a while.. Wonder if they decided no to revamp the program?

Thank you for the replies. I seem to remember that on my first CAS cruise, my card was a greenish color. I'm probably wrong and no longer have the card. On my second cruise, it was purple. And on my latest cruise, it was platinum. Just wondered what it all meant.

I play the slots, and we took our first cruise just a few weeks ago, it was a certificate from the Hard Rock / CAS, we upgraded to balcony. We got Platinum cards right off the bat without having played on the ship. I'm guessing it was based on play at the Hard Rock. I didn't try to redeem anything but i know I racked up a lot of points on this 7 day cruise. A couple of times they sent up a plate of chocolates to the room, but nothing else was offered. Should I have asked for something? I don't necessarily want to lose the points I've accumulated for a $40 dinner for 2, but if it's comped then that's another story. I spent quite a bit of time in the casino, and we got our next cruise comped at the oceanview level, then upgraded, but the total was 200 bucks less than the previous comped upgraded cruise for the same cabin, same ship(Epic), same itinerary (eastern carib).

Basically is there anything I should be doing differently? And also is there anything else I could sign up for to use my status to get comped for anything else? I don't play more than I'm budgeted for, so if I don't hit I will stop at a certain level. Basically, the money I'm willing to spend playing comes back in discounts on the free cruises anyway, so I consider it win win. I usually will hit enough on the slots that I can be ahead or not too far behind. This cruise being our first, I hit on first day and last day, and left w/ more cash than I came on board with.

Please see the reply I posted to you in the other CAS thread last night (sorryI am on iPad so can't post a link here). In my reply, I spoke about how to get comped dinners, etc and how your points will cash out. I suspect you got a Platinum card because they are using up the colored cards, on my last cruise I was given Gold and Platinum cards, but I am only Bronze level. I generally rack up at least 20,000 points per year on NCL, and even my TR Seven Stars friends start with purple status, raised to Bronze after first 8000 points on NCL and Gold after 40K points. again, great to hear about your good luck!
