Fly Fishing the Río Maullín @Puerto Montt

I love to experience fishing wherever we cruise, so I am considering taking advantage of the opportunity when our cruise docks at Puerto Montt to fish the Río Maullín.

 

If you have fished the Río Maullín I would appreciate information about your experience and if you felt it was worthwhile. I have browsed the Internet and what little information I have found suggests to me that, compared to to the fishing I have done in New Zealand, Alaska, and Montana, I will be disappointed with the Río Maullín. :confused:
