Room upgrade email

Hi I have a confusing question for you-I just received an email with a code to upgrade our room to a higher deck. I did and we are now a 4J level I believe. I check the rates multiple times a day looking for rate drops and have had 2 so far. one dropped what we owed and one gave us OBC. So now that I upgraded to a 4J do I go by that rate or my original rate when looking for price drops??
