Can someone suggest a source for a walking tour of Nice for a day on one's own from the ships pier to major sites?

Can someone suggest a source for a walking tour of Nice for a day on one's own from the ships pier to major sites?

Do a search on this board for idea's re Nice. There is the old town and the market,but if you want to see other places close by this board is a excellent source of info.Nice is quite a large city to spend all day walking around with some other really goos sights to see nearby unless you have been to this area before.

We have been to Monico and MONTE CARLO, Eze and St. Paul de Vance. We have seen the flower market 3x. We were looking for a leisurely few hours in the city.

A chill day..I would just get out astroll around the Old Town area..find a nice cafe to have some coffee,and/or luncheon.Check out the markets and just relax.There is a beach area.I would Google Nice and see what pops up for you.Enjoy.

We wonder if the OPs cruise is actually going to Nice or if its actually tendering into Villefranche which is the more normal port. If it is Villefranche the OP needs to keep in mind that they will need to use either a public bus, train or taxi (expensive) to first get to Nice. For any walking tour of Nice we always recommend that a traveler plan on first going to the outdoor market (normally a Flower market) located in the old town at the Cours Selaya.
