Bari on Sunday

We will be in Bari on a Sunday and hoping to take the train to Polignano a Mare. Does anyone know if there is train service on Sundays? Will the shops there be open?

FWIW, the main rail station is quite a walk from the port but there is bus service (albeit infrequent).
