Ship time vs. port time

We'll be in Belize July 8th. Will the ship and port be on the same time because of daylight savings for the Central time zone? I don't want to miss my excursion.

Thanks,
Donna

I don't know whether this will help or confuse, but last fall we were on RCCL Nordic Empress. The ship time & the port time were not the same. I don't recall whether it was a one or two hour difference, but I believe it was an hour earlier in port than on the ship. I don't know whether this holds true for all ships or if daylight savings time factors in either. We just made sure to keep our watch on ship's time so we didn't miss the ship leaving port.
