mert461 Posted May 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2004 We'll be in Belize July 8th. Will the ship and port be on the same time because of daylight savings for the Central time zone? I don't want to miss my excursion. Thanks, Donna
cruise_girl_too Posted May 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2004 mert461 I am just off Celebrity's Summit and we went to Belize. The ship's clocks were changed to reflect the port times so there was no misunderstandings! Hope this helps!
mert461 Posted May 9, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted May 9, 2004 Thanks cruise_girl. I wonder if Royal Caribbean changes the time as well. Any RCL cruisers out there know the answer? Donna
VaCruzers Posted May 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2004 I don't know whether this will help or confuse, but last fall we were on RCCL Nordic Empress. The ship time & the port time were not the same. I don't recall whether it was a one or two hour difference, but I believe it was an hour earlier in port than on the ship. I don't know whether this holds true for all ships or if daylight savings time factors in either. We just made sure to keep our watch on ship's time so we didn't miss the ship leaving port. mert461 Posted May 10, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Thanks VaCruzers. I think I'll call RCL and ask. Someone there should know. Donna
