" Any Time Dining" in Costa Cruises?

Anyone knows if there is " any time option" in Costa and we can choose a table for 2? Thanks

there is no anytime dining on costa. traditional 2-seatings fixed. i do not want to quote the exact times becuase the times vary depending on what part of the world the ship is in. generally, though, late is much later than what we in the US are accustomed to (like 9:15).

In site of Costa we can read that in first day we will have a card for dining reservation and we can ask the time we desire and the number of people in table.

What this means?

. . is that all dining on Costa ships is in the dining rooms. When you made your reservation, your travel agent may have been asked about your dinner preference: early, mid-evening or late (whatever those mean). Also, do you just want to dine alone or with other people. (We preferred early, which I believe is sixish and a table for two). Costa may or may not honor such requests.

We will have our first Costa experience in November, when we spent the whole month on the Victoria in SE Asia. The itineraries are extremely port intensive -- into a new port almost every morning; out at sundown. Because we love Asian food, we may eat quite a bit ashore. So seating arrangements are not critical. More problematic -- for many -- may be their inability to converse with table mates if they speak a different language.

None of this worries us. BTW, next Aoril we'll be on MSC Poesia in Lisbon. Similar arrangements. No worries as long as we can find a fado club in Lisbon.

About fado in Lisbon I sugest you " Club do Fado " in Alfama neighberwood,

" Senhor Vinho" in Madragoa or " Luso " in Bairro Alto that has nor only fado but also folk music and songs.

you will be seated with people who speak the same language. costa is very good about this.

 

if your agent did not ask if you prefer early/late and the size of table, you should contact them and let them know.
