Question about Specialty Rest.

We are sailing on FOS (8/12/12). I have booked the specialty rest. before but someone told me if you make a reservation for the first night of sailing it is half price. Is this true? If it is, can I book in advance, or do I have to wait until we are on the ship and book for the first night?

The half price refers to the BOGO coupon in the Diamond and higher (I believe Diamonds get it) coupon book you will find in your cabin. Yes you can book in advance and then have them apply the coupon to your meal, you will get a credit on your on-board account for the $20:)

I had read somewhere that Samba Grill could be purchased for half price on the first night of the cruise. But I also read that you must have My Time Dining to be able to get that. Anybody know for sure?
