Dream MDR Dining...my time vs 1st seating

There are 9 of us total in our group, 3 separate reservations. We are all currently booked for "my time dining". Now we don't have to sit together every night but it would be nice. Wondering if we should change to 1st seating instead and then link reservations or should we just stick to what we have.

 

We will most likely dine early...try to get there before the rush (like at 5:45 when they open) Anyone have better luck when they do that?

 

If we do switch and link reservations, how do we do that? And does it guarantee table together?
