Dad's 70th birthday while on cruise

If he likes to know how things work he may enjoy the Behind the Fun tour. They have you (I think a maximum of 12-15) meet at a certain location then escort you to many of the areas of the ship that are off limits to passengers and also give you some history/info about those areas. At some point you end up on the bridge with the Captain and they take a picture of you. It's pricey, but I've read it's worth it. I'll know in about a week-I'm doing this for my husband's 50th birthday on the Sensation :D

The smaller ships charge $55/pp and the larger ships charge $95/pp.

Oddly enough, I just celebrated my 70th aboard the beautiful "Dream". My T.A. had my cabin decorated, and sent a cake to my table in the dining room. Both very nice, and frankly, unexpected. Of course the dining room staff all sang "Hoppy Birfday Two Shoes" to me as well. You might contact the C.D. aboard your ship alsol, and advise him/her of the big occasion. I'd bet he/she will also congratulate your dad, and make it a truly unforgettable cruise.
