Taxi to the beach?

We are going to St Martin in Sept on the Disney cruise line. We have a 4 and 2 year old and we would like to go to to the beach for the morning. Disney does not offer beach excursion for 2 year old (soooo not happy about this) so we are looking for others who has either hired a driver or taxi to take you to the beach. What was the cost? Do they accept cash or credit cards? My husband and I have already been to St Martin so we really just want to go to the beach for a few hours - so no island tours for us. Thanks for any suggestions.

Here is information re: taxi rates in St. Martin. The taxi stand is a short walk from the cruise ship pier. I've always paid cash so I don't know if they accept credit cards.
