gymjudge55 Posted August 12, 2012 #27 Share Posted August 12, 2012 Just got off Celebrity Millennium and I was surprised by the number of tuxes and gowns on formal night. We dined in Blu which does not have a formal dress code and probably 60% still were in suits or tuxes. The rest were like my husband and wearing a nice button down dress shirt and dress slacks. I wore a long black skirt and sparkly top. We did not see anyone else more casually dressed than that.
tcs1366 Posted August 23, 2012 #28 Share Posted August 23, 2012 I'm hoping we do not have to have more 'formal wear' will be on the diamond princess next June 2013 with all I have to pack, i do not plan on formal wear, and I know DH will not. He will probably have nice jeans and a button-down shirt. maybe I will bring one dress. guess I will have to look into it more... I just figured Alaska to be more casual. We were on the Ruby last February, and the maitre D literally did not allow men in the dining room without a suit. At least I have time to research this....
