we went with him last week (4/13/04) and had a wonderful time! He was very knowledgable about the island (we went to Port Antonio and the Blue Lagoon, which is on the far eastern side.. 2hrs from Ochos Rios)... I can not say enough good things about him. On our way back he showed us some of the things he does on his "higlight" tour... they all looked GREAT! He is more than willing to do anything you want.. very flexible... he'll stop and get different fruits for you to try and explains a lot.
It was just an enjoyable day. He made us see Jamaica in a different light!! We are excited about going back there now!!

We did a great tour around Ocho Rios with another driver called Chef Thompson. We found recomendations on a few different boards and his wife is on a site called Jamaicans.com so we felt safe to book an idependant tour and so pleased we did, we got to see so many things and chose everwhere we wanted to go and he even suggested at least 4 different places for lunch at different prices, we paid all admission fee's and for our lunch so we know we didn't get ripped off, he was such a nice guy and kept any unwanted attention away. We were surprized when we saw his dreadlocks but he had a welcoming smile and spoke in an English accent so we could understnad him fine, he made us feel at ease straight away. I would recomend a private tour to anyone. You can email me if you want to chat more or try cheftours2000@yahoo.com
We did the Dunns River waterfall, Bob Marleys place, shopped then went to this guys house, wow what a view. We could snorkel there but we dont but the reef was real close. Then we went through Fren Gully and stopped off at a beach for a drink then the craft market and back to the ship. Jamaica will see us back again.
