The Day has Come!

After 18 months of planning we leave for the airport in less than 2 hours! I thought it would be a good time to thank all the posters at Cruise Critic. Over the last 18 months I have learned lots - what to do and what not to do, what to pack, what to wear (two suitcases both weighing in 16kg!!), what to see ....!!!

The advice and laughs along the way have all added to our first river cruise experience. Amsterdam here we come - and in great style thanks to our wonderful TA - a limo and champers. I know what you are saying - no fizzy drinks before you fly - but a girl needs to go off in style! LOL

Thanks to everyone because with their suggestions and advice we are well prepared to enjoy the trip of a lifetime.

I hope your trip is superb. I will be interested to read how you enjoy both of your trips and what cities you most enjoyed. DH and I will be on our second AMA trip in November -they really treat you well. Bon voyage!
