kdinkus1 Posted May 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2005 :( Been reading quite a few reviews on people having trouble finding seating in the theaters after the early seating dinner. Is it because of the PC dining? I have always done Carnival and had PLENTY of time to get very good seats for the shows after eating and now am worried that on Princess I will be lucky to even find a seat! Any ideas for those of us who enjoy the 'traditional' way of dining? Thanks.
Toto2Kansas Posted May 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2005 On evenings where there are production shows, those are when it can be difficult to find a seat. It does make it tough and we have missed shows before because of the lack of seats available. The most popular shows are usually the production shows and with PC dining it can get a bit crowded. I wish I had an answer for you. Only thing we do is to get through dinner as quickly as possible on those evenings, or we visit the buffet before the show and skip the dining room altogether. britsbest Posted May 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2005 Skip dining room? No way! We had such great waiters and table mates that we never and I do mean NEVER got out of the dining room till last thing.. we were on late sitting. The waiters were hugely entertaining. If you were on Golden last July/Aug we were by the door in Canaletto !
AzTraveler Posted May 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2005 We just came off the Island Pricess to Hawaii. We wanted to dine early (PC) and the way we was able to make it to the show and get good seat, was to be waiting outside the dining room before 5:30 when it usually opens. On several occasions they opened the doors 5 or 10 mins early. We would then let our waiter or ass't waiter know that we wanted to make the show. The would go out of their way to make sure we was served in a timely manner. One more comment, we always asked for a table for 2 as well, which make the process much faster. We never missed dinner or a show and was able to make the (other) second show at the opposite end of the ship at 8:15 as well. Hope this helps.
