rental car and port everglades

Hello: I'm returning a Avis car to the "port everglades shuttle for cruise ships" at the Hyatt pier 66. Is there a free shuttle to the port? I'm also picking up a car there after the cruise is the a shuttle to take you there from the port? Thanks

There is a shuttle. If you just miss it and don't feel like waiting for it to return, cab fare between the port and hotel is very cheap, as the hotel isn't very far away.

Upon our return from our 10 Day Princess Emerald Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean in November I want to rent a car and drop the car at the Ft Myers FL (RSW) airport the following day. My question is can I take a taxi from the cruise dock directly to the Rental Car pickup location or do I have to go to the Ft Lauderdale Airport Car Rental kiosk and sign in area?
