We were on the Western itinerary, Belize, Roatan, Grand Cayman, Cozumel during the week of 6/26. I have also cruised on the Destiny, Victory and Inspiration..the Valor is a very beautiful ship and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly...we got married while in Grand Cayman on 6/30 and Carnival made sure everyone (stewards, dining room waiters, maitre d') were advised and they treated us very nice...the buffets were excellent, dining room was great and casino staff awesome as well....the deli was excellent and my husband was there every day...however, the oriental deli was less than 'good'..my husband's mother is chinese and we found the food rather 'funky'..haha...however the sushi was very fresh and plentiful and even if there was a line, it moved quickly..the shows were phenominal and the cruise director Brent was good..have seen better but he was good...that was his last cruise however so there is a new director now....Camp Carnival was good but my boys did not attend as much as they had back in March only because we had so many port days..we had a suite that was just pure luxory and our children were in an inside cabin...we were all on the 7th floor...my parents were on the 8th in a balcony room...embarkation was a bit much as it was muggy..we did have 'skippers club' privleges and that did help a little...I had ordered room decorations for my son's and my parents cabins as well as cakes to be delivered first nite at dinner...all that went as planned...my parents ordered room decorations for our suite on the day we were off the ship getting married and that worked as well....we did not get the fountain soda cards this time and don't regret it at all...that was a waste of money when we bought them in March...if our children wanted a soda, we bought it but instead of waiting for us, they opted for juice, tea or water which are always available on Lido deck...oh, and room service was fast and efficient as well...hope all this helps some!
