Hotel in Ft Lauderdale

I have booked us in Comfort Suites Airport and Cruise Port on Federal Hwy for our upcoming cruise in July because of the free airport pick up, free shuttles, and free parking while on our cruise, I called Comfort Suites with a question and was told that they now charge $10 a day for parking? What is up with that? When I booked it off of Expedia my paperwork states free Parking,free shuttle top port. Can they now charge us $10 a day for parking or should I change to another hotel? Any advice appreciated, it will be a pain to switch because there is 11 of us in our party and we have booked 5 rooms, some are flying in and need airport pick up, some are driving and liked the free parking vs paying $12 a pay at the port. Please help! This is causing me such a headache! Thanks in advance! Lisa in Indiana

Hi Lisa,

Go over to the HOTEL board and ask BURBUNNY to suggest which hotels have free parking. They may even be available thru Priceline and you'll get a much nicer hotel with a better location at a great price. Burbunny is the hotel GURU! She is so willing to help people on the boards and the Hotel board is surly one of her fortays!

In 2002 the Comfort Inn was charging $6 per day to park. I don't know why Expedia says it's free. The Amerisuites allows you to park free.

Maybe the free parking is for if you are staying there= but will pay a price if you are just parking the car.
