AMTRAK is running a special in the Northeast Corridor. We booked 2 RT tickets from Connecticut to Penn Station for $34 each way. This is for December 2012.

 

Much less than usual and they have very early trains to allow for issues going in.

 

Wanted to go day before but no rooms in NYC under $250 so not this time.

It's called a 14 day advance fare available in the northeast corridor. 20 per cent off. Only certain trains have it.
