countrymoon Posted May 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2005 I am booked on the Majesty of the Seas for November 7, I am traveling with my daughter and her friend. We have a cain on Deck 6, F1 Ocean View. I wanted a Balcony or Larger Ocean View but the agent said there were none left. She did say there was a waiting list for upgrade, how does that work? 2Cruise4Ever Posted May 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2005 Countrymoon ~ You can go ahead and put your name on the waiting list. It won't cost you anything to do so. What that means is this: if a balcony or larger Ocean View becomes availble, RC then goes to the waiting list and offers it to the first person listed (for a price typically much lower than if you booked it yourself the first time you called). If that one denies it, then they call the next person on the list and so-on. Sometimes people cancel their cruise for whatever reason and the cabin will become available. Make sense? countrymoon Posted May 22, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted May 22, 2005 Hi, Thank for the advice, I told the agent to begin with to put me on the list, but I called her back when I read your post to make sure she did. I have read many bad posts for the Majesty of the Seas, I see you sailed on her. Was it as run down as some of the post I read? What did you think of her? This is my first cruise as you can tell. Thanks Countrymoon:)
bilyclub Posted May 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2005 The Majesty is old compared to all the new ships, but RCI keeps it in good ship. The only bad thing I can say is that the cabins are small...
