I would choose Baja deck over Aloha deck. On Baja you will have cabins above and below you so it will be quiet. On Aloha you might be under the pool area or the buffet, which can be very noisy.

 

You should also consider a Caribe deck balcony because those balconies are twice as large as the Aloha and Baja balconies for not much more money.

We are going to book a 31 day South America cruise on the Golden and wonder if anybody could give us advice on balcony cabins on Aloha and Baja deck. thanks

 

All the balcony cabins on the Aloha and Baja decks are the same size and the same layout. However, some can handle a 3rd passenger and some a 3rd and 4th passenger. These cabins have bunks that are stored when not in use. Look at the deck plans to identify these cabins. We prefer the Baja deck as there will be passenger cabins above and below you. We took the same voyage on the Star (sister ship) and were in cabin B322 and it was nice.
