Why MSC over NCCL, CCl and NCL?

We have cruised with NCL, Carnival and Royal Caribbean and enjoyed them all -and P & O (Ventura) which we did not enjoy much.

Now we are based in Europe looking at Mediterranean cruises for next year. Is MSC comparable to any of the above?, is language a problem?, what about standard/type of food? Is the entertainment in English or Italian.

Any pros or cons that anyone would like to highlight? Any comments are greatly appreciated.

We have cruised Carnival and RCCL (Med with RCCL), and will be trying MSC for the first time. I cannot tell you difinitive comparisons, but there are some other threads that do in this forum. We chose MSC because of the itinerary and because the things other people complained that MSC lacked (such as more organized sports and activities) were things we do not care about. The things that are important to us, such as a clean, safe ship with decent food and good port stops, did apply to MSC.

It's all about what is important to you.
