Buying wine before boarding in Seattle

We are staying at the Mayflower Park Hotel. Is there a place within walking distance to buy a case of wine? We will have a car for a couple of days before we get to Seattle and will be driving in from the Olympic Natl Park area. Perhaps it's cheaper to buy before we get to Seattle? Thanks!

It's just off Interstate 5 near the southcenter mall exit. You should pass by on your way into Seattle. They have the largest selection of wine, spirits, and cigars in one building.

Pike and Western, The Tasting Room, and DeLaurenti's are all at Pike Place Market, which is a relatively easy walk of a few blocks from your hotel (although I wouldn't fancy walking back lugging a case of wine!) Driving and parking there during cruise season will be very, very challenging. Esquin is just a bit south of downtown in the SoDo neighborhood, and has free customer parking.

Again, it depends on whether you're a serious wine aficionado who wants unusual local wines, or a middle-of-the-road wine drinker who'll be happy with some decent-quality bottles you could get back home. I don't know of any wine shops in that neighborhood (South Lake Union), but there's a Whole Foods about 2-3 blocks away from your hotel. They have a pretty good wine section for a grocery store.
