Have you ever ...Gumbalina private/driver ??

I know some of the threads have said that you need to book this through the ship or a resort. Half of our group wants to zipline elsewhere on the island, then snuba while another half wants to go here and snuba, etc. We were hoping to meet up at Gumbalina with our private driver who would then return us all to the ship.

The time at Gumbalina seems so short with the excursion.

Is it possible to take the cruise excursion, but stay at Gumbalina and catch your own ride back?

Are there any other options that we may have that I haven't considered?
