Does anyone know how much a taxi would be from the airport in New Orleans to Carnival's port?

 

Would a shuttle be a better way to go?

 

There will be four adults.

If you have four adults there's no way one cab can carry the four of you plus all your luggage and carryons. You can try and reserve SuperShuttle to take you from the airport to the dock.

There are many mini van taxis, chevy suburban taxis, full size van taxis operating out of New Orleans Airport. You will have no problem getting 4 people to the port. The flat rate would be $28 for up to two people and another $13 per person for each additional passenger. The taxi actually works out cheaper then the airport shuttle.;)

check into taking a limo. its almost the price of cab, plus 4 people will get you a stretch limo, not just a towncar.

We're going to hire a limo. There are now six of us going! :)

 

Will we need to book it now or can we wait until we arrive at the airport?

We were in NO the Christmas before last and there was a kiosk near the taxi area. Dh just went up & asked about it and they had one there in about 5 - 10 minutes. The price was only a little more than a taxi (there were 4 of us). Great way to start a vacation:). We also arranged for the same driver to pick us up at our hotel after the cruise.

 

Dh just found their business card: Celebrity Limosine Service, 1-800-253-1991, www.cel.limo@ix.netcom.com. Our driver was Leola, although not sure if she's there, beings that was 1 1/2 years ago.
