Ship layout cards

If they don't give you one at check-in, you can get one at guest services, or try the coffee shop, I've seen them there, too, or there may be members of the entertainment staff passing them out once you board. On the first day, if you see copies of the FunTimes around, at bars, etc., there will likely also be copies of the little ship map.

I always do a Google search on "deck plans" for the ship I'll be sailing on. I grab the images for the main decks and the deck my cabin is on. You can copy and paste the images into MS Word. Or insert them after you've saved them. Depending on how good your eyesight is, you can fit 3 decks on one sheet of paper (you have to adjust the margins out as far as they will go).

I label the decks, and print them out (enough for each person in the room), then I highlight my cabin. I can't tell you how many times I've had people stop me in the halls and elevators and ask me where I got such great maps!
