Beer from Ports

Is there a way to bring beer back into your room when returning to a ship from a Port? I know they check for liquor, but not sure about beer. I would love to bring some local beer back to my cabin.

Is there a way to bring beer back into your room when returning to a ship from a Port? I know they check for liquor, but not sure about beer. I would love to bring some local beer back to my cabin.

 

It is required to be turned in, but it is not always enforced. Liquor (including beer) security at port is much more lenient in my experience. A lot of times you can simply keep walking past the turn-in table, especially if there is a lot of people.

We normally always bring back the local 6/8 pack. When you go thru security they will tell you to take it to the alcohol table. Smile, pick it up and head to the elevator :)

last cruise we got beer on the ship in Cozumel and Grand Caymen. Both went thru the scanner and no one said anything.

Or buy 2 packs and only turn in 1, if they're watching. Thats what backpacks are for.
