Weather/excursion advice on Red Sea Magic

I see the FCO have upped their travel warnings to Sinai Peninsula today. Means trip to St Catherine's monastery won't be possible for our Sheikh beach stay. Jordan, Red Sea resorts and Sheikh el Sharm plus transfers still okay. Just in case anyone was thinking of booking a private Cairo tour, might be best to hold off. I'm sure Thomson will cancel/refund their trips as necessary to ensure safety!

I was wondering about all this. It's a licker from licky end isn't it..all this planning and looking forward to your trip and then this happens. Why can't they just live peacefully?? It's very bad for Egypt's reputation.
