Need to pre-arrange transportation from Country Inn and Suites to the NOLA port?

Hi everyone. Trying to figure out logistics for our upcoming Navigator cruise. We will be staying at the Country Inns and Suites on Magazine Street which is about 1.5 miles to the port so walking with our suitcases wont be an option.

 

How difficult is it to get a taxi in NOLA when everyone else is trying to do the same thing? I imagine the hotel may have a shuttle but we have had better luck just taking a taxi on our own on past cruises.

We recently spent 4 days in NOLA and there are taxis everywhere. Every time we left our hotel it seemed there were 2 or 3 outside waiting to pick up someone. I would imagine it's pretty easy to quickly get one.

I figured that would be the case but just didn't know how crazy it would get with so many people going to the port. Thanks!
