smartlady25 Posted January 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2013 HI , Can anyone recommend a hiking opportunity in a Black Sea port. We will be going in July on a cruise of the Black Sea and my husband would like at least one opportunity to have a good hike. Thanks, Fern

5326jan Posted January 30, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2013 In Yalta, we used Sergey Tsarapora, a history professor, for the most amazing tour we've ever taken, but it was sightseeing, not hiking. It was a great day and we saw so much! There is another guide named Sergey Sorokin who has hiking tours. I know he gets good reviews, which you can find if you google his name or look on TripAdvisor. This are is so rich in history, with the Crimean Battlefields (Battle of the Light Brigade), Sevestapol, Balacava Russian submarine caves, Lavidia Palace (sight of Yalta Conference and home of Russian Czar), etc it would be a shame to miss out on seeing those.
