Last time we were in Roatan, we used Victor Bodden & did some zipling at his facility. We loved it. This year, we have a goup of 13, we want to do a zip & dip tour. Not sure if it is worth booking a driver for the day, so looked at others for tour- South Shore & Pirates of the Caribbean. Has anyone done either of these tours? Any feedback would be great.

We did the Pirates Zip N Dip earlier this year and it was great! Our driver and the guys at the lines were awesome. We went to the Parrot Bay Resort after zipping. It was really quiet and laid back there. We are heading back again in 2 weeks but this time we are booking with Rony's Tours to do the Pirates Extremely Extreme, check out some monkeys, and then some snorkeling at West Bay. You cant go wrong with zipping with Pirates.

I have done both pirates extremely extreme and south shore, and like south shore much better for several reasons.

It has a much better view. Pirates has some fields and is further from the sea, south shore is much closer to the coast and all jungle.

The zip lines get longer and higher as you go, where as pirates is the opposite and the longest is first, so towards the end it was a letdown.

South shore seemed safer. It was just a feeling. At pirates they "bounced" you on one of the lines (even after my husband told them not to) and that really changed the force distribution. My harness also involved some tied rope at pirates and only seen straps at south shore.

The best part of pirates is the monkeys that you can play with at the end.
