GGJC Posted June 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2005 What do you guys consider the top 3 'undiscovered' beaches in St John. Have been to Trunk Bay and yes its wonderful but would like to try something less touristy this time around. We would like soft sand and warm, clear water. What would you consider the top three (and how do you get there)?
The Islander Posted June 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Hello GGJC, If I posted the top three undiscovered beaches... in a few months they wouldn't be undiscovered any more. :) For those that cruise often with stops in the VI or just if you are interested in learning more, I would recommend the book St. John Off the Beaten Path or St. John Feet, Fins & Four Wheel Drive. you can read up on them and get them at http://www.vitraders.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=V&Category_Code=gub Anyhoo, top three. Hmmm. Not in any order and not necessary the top, top three, but those that come to mind right away. ;) 1. Soloman/Honeymoon - get there by hiking the Lind Point trail from Cruz Bay or hiking from Caneel Bay. 2. Dennis Bay - hike an unlabeled side trail from Peace Hill Trail. 3. Lameshur Bay - long drive, there is a road, partly dirt. No amenities at any of them except Lameshur which has a portable potty but nothing else. There is a beach guide at http://www.*****/stjohn/beaches_stj/ --Islander http://www.*****
