newfarmers Posted February 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Has anyone bought this for an Oz based cruise? If yes, did you think it was worth the dollars and how many dollars was it? Invite by the captain to the bridge says 'while in port'. This potentially will affect any pre-booked shorex. Package is USD535. I wonder if I will be shocked or surprised with the price we get quoted by Princess, if it is available. All advice welcomed cheers Pete
Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Hi Pete, I have not heard of the Princess Grand Occassion Package before. Have I missed something? What is it? I have done the Ultimate Ships Tour, is it something along those lines? Must be something really really special for that kind of money.:D
newfarmers Posted February 24, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Hi Pete,I have not heard of the Princess Grand Occassion Package before. Have I missed something? What is it? I have done the Ultimate Ships Tour, is it something along those lines? Must be something really really special for that kind of money.:D We're off on SP three weeks tomorrow and I'll be celebrating my 50th three days into the cruise. We're just not in to buying much for presents any more but my partner asked me last week how much I'd pay for a bridge tour. When I baulked at 150 he didn't continue the questions. Then yesterday it came up again and he showed me what he'd been looking at - http://www.princess.com/learn/onboard/gifts_services/celebrations/special_occasions/index.jsp For those who don't want to click the link it's - "Welcome Aboard" Dom Perignon Champagne (I love a glass or two of bubbly, especially good bubbly!) A framed formal portrait (possibly a big pass on this one although my mum would love it) Champagne breakfast in bed - a half bottle of French champagne delivered with breakfast to your stateroom the morning of your choice (more French bubbly!) Two Princess Cruises waffle robes - gifts for you to take home A visit to the Lotus Spa® - one 25-minute therapeutic massage or facial per person Canapés or petit fours delivered to your stateroom on a selected evening A personalized invitation from the Captain to visit the bridge while in port (yes please!!) 14-piece Godiva heart-shaped box of chocolates Item #1100 - $535.00 per couple So yes, an extravagance, but I'll only be 50 once! So what's the Ultimate Ship's Tour David? Might be more up my street as this is just a tad over the top ;) Pete
