ABBE Posted June 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2005 On Our Last Two Stops In St. Thomas, We Have Taken The Ship Ferry Over To Trunk Bay On St. John To Snorkel And Liked It Very Much. I Thought I Would Like To Try Another Site Next Two Times, Since We Plan A Back To Back With Both Stops In St. Thomas. Could Anyone Give Me Any Info On Buck Island, Turtle Cove And Coki Beach? Is The Snorkeling Good And How Did You Get To These Sites? Thanks For Any Help.
crisp1 Posted June 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Can only help with Coki- It has good snorkeling- not as good as Trunk bay- but much easier to get to. You can grab a cab just off the ship- I think it's around $8 each way. You should also ask on the scuba/ snorkeling board.
The Islander Posted June 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Hello, Buck Island is a small island/marine reserve off of St. Thomas' coast. Turtle Cove at Buck Island is where charters take guests to snorkel. You'd get there via a daysail/charter. Most times that is where cruise excursion daysails go, so you likely can book through your ship. Coki Beach is a beach on St. Thomas with good snorkeling. You can take a taxi to get there. --Islander http://www.*****
