Questions about Sea/Port of Houston Parking

We originally were going to have the in-laws take us to the ship, but they have backed out. Awhile ago someone was talking about parking at the POHA that was $35. Anyone have any details/ directions? Do they transfer to the ship?

 

Also, do the staterooms have safes?

There is a locked parking lot right by the pier that I think is $7 per day. I think I read somewhere that it is cash only -- no credit cards. There wouldn't be any need to take a shuttle. You can just drop off any passengers and luggage and walk back easily. If you do a search on this message board, there are really detailed instructions that were great when we were driving our rental van there. Search for "houston" and "driving" and you should be able to find them.

 

As far as safes, our room did not have one, but I understand some of the higher category rooms do. We were in a KK the first time, and an H the 2nd, and neither one had a safe.
