Can anyone who has been on the Dream doing the Eastern cruise tell me how many other cruise ships were in the ports of St. Thomas and St. Maarten with you? How crowded were the beachs and such? Trying to figure out which beach might be best to visit. Thanks for any information you can give.

There were several ships in both ports. Oasis of the Seas being one onf them. Meaghan's Bay was very crowded. We went on the Carnival beach and shopping excursion. My brother went on the beach only excursion which went a little later in the day and it was less crowded then. In St. Martin we went to Le Galion beach. It was recommended for those with smaller children. It was great. Not crowded at all. Maho Beach was very crowded around 2PM when the Air France plane lands. Not sure about it in the morning. Hope that helps.

You can check the number of ships in port at cruisett.com. Both of those islands are very used to having large numbers of cruise ship passengers and deal with them very well.

Thanks for the website. It was a great help. Got 3 ships in port that day and we will be the last one to dock. Oh well, so much for having a quiet time on the island.
