Distance from port to town

Juneau - Skagway - Ketchikan.

Are the berths near the towns and places of interest - or is there some distance between port and town?

I think it depends on the cruise line. We were on Princess, and in Skagway and Juneau we were not in the center of town, although in neither case were we very far away.

We were on Sun Princess and did not have to tender at any port. Ketchikan is in the city, Juneau is very close, and Skagway a little farther. We walked at all ports. In Skagway $1.50 for the city shuttle.

You are within "view" of the downtown areas from the cruise docks. But it depends on the placement for how far. All have shuttle services if needed, but are walkable without mobility limitations.
