North Coast Safari Beach stop - snorkeling? Easter?

I couldn't find this in a search.

 

The last part of the description of Carnival tour says they will stop at Arashi beach or Boca Catalina.

 

Any guess which beach they will use a couple of days before Easter? I've heard about camping on the beach.

 

Would either of the beaches have decent snorkeling from shore such that I should haul masks and snorkels with me?

Yes, you can access the same reef from either spot. To get there from Boca Catalina swim north. To get there from Arashi head south. Imo Boca Catalina is a bit easier in that to get to the area, you do not need to swim out past the rocks as you do at Arashi. Either way, test the current before you get too far to insure that you will be able to get back to your starting point.
