Host Caroline Posted June 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2005 We booked on Travelocity for last week's cruise and did this in January.. flight times changed twice but got instant notification.. Fortunately we did not have issue with United as they stayed at work... delay was in Chicago on the way back and weather related so they had no way to knowing this.. Have used Orbitz and Travelocity in the past and both keep you apprised of changes, send reminders via email etc... In Seattle we used the Shuttle Express to get to hotel (in Seattle Center area) and it was $28 for two.. we arranged this right at the airport.. AND made a ressie to be picked up at 8:30 at Pier 30 (we were on Princess and carrying off luggage due to 11:15 flight). They agreed, took credit card info and then when I checked email onboard they had changed pick up to 10:00:eek: Not possible obviously... so emailed them back and cancelled. Charge was going to be $23.25 for two people. When we got off Sat. a.m. at 8:00 there were plenty of cabs, no line at custom etc and we were at airport before 8:45 with no lines there either... if you can carry your own luggage off Diamond Princess highly recommend you do this.. avoids a lot of hassle. and the cost for cab for two was just $25 so the shuttle folks as it turned out did not save us enough to bother with...
