Taxi for the day?

We are considering hiring a taxi for the day - (we did this in Cozumel and it was great) - has anyone here done this in St Martin?

It all depends on what you want to do and where you want to go.

 

We just cam back from St. Maarten. On this trip we decided to head over to Marigot on the French side of the island. We actually took a bus. $2 per person. The bus takes the same road as a taxi. A taxi to Marigot will be at least $25 each way.

 

I know you can also catch a bus to Maho Beach from Phillipsburg. That too will be around $2 p/p each way.

 

The buses will have a sign in the window that tells you where they go. For example: Phillipsburg - Marigot

Phillipsburge - Maho

 

Also these are not your typical big city buses. They are basically large vans with bench seating.
