Saving about $100 in parking at NYC Pier

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm young and don't mind saving a few bucks.

Parking at NYC pier cost 7*$25 = $175 for a seven day

cruise.

I did the following which others suggested, but

the details in some posts were skewed.

Park at Weehawken/Imperial pier in NJ. Cost is

$7 per week day, $9 per weekend day.

Total cost is $62.

Distance from car park to pier is about 100 yards,

ferry is large and can easily handle lots of luggage.

Get of at 38th street in Manhattan (journey takes

7 minutes, ferries run every 20 minutes on weekend).

Walk is about 800 yards and took me 10 minutes,

(I was pulling two large suitcases).

Return tickets for the ferry cost $11 per person.

The ferry can accomodate 150 people and there

was barely 15 people on board.

Hope this helps.
