Questions about Shanghai, Kuantan

Where does the Pacific Princess dock in Shanghai, near the Bund, or in a not so close container port?

Also, are there a wealth of taxis at the dock in Kuantan.

The Shanghai Cruise Terminal is just down river from the Bund. The military buildings next to the pier are the former Western Embassies that existed before WWII. That area was called "Embassy Row". The Russian Consulate is still there.

The Bund is walking distance from the Terminal, but there are also plenty of taxis nearby.

You really need to call Princess and ask this question. That's how folks found out this spring about the Sapphire Princess schedule was for docking at the container port. Based on the size of the Pacific Princess I would hope that you'll dock near The Bund.

 

We docked at the container port and it was so far away and so secure that many private arrangements were really messed up. And then, a tanker collided with the Sapphire Princess just a half hour before we were leaving port. This happened at almost the dinner hour and I bet most of the crew didn't even heed the call to their emergency stations. Who would think of it in port?
