Bus from port to Piraeus metro station

As I read from previous posts, in order to get to the Piraeus metro station from the port, I can either take a 25-30 min walk or take bus No.832/833.

 

If I'm taking the bus, how long should I expect to wait ? are the bus rides frequent???

By the time you wait and try to figure out how to maneuver the area, you are much better off just taking the 25 minute walk.

 

On the way back, taxi drivers are much more apt to take you to the ship than just taking a taxi to the metro station. The taxi drivers want an all day fare, and won't take you to the station. Some will, take you into Athens for about 20-25 euro.
