ON THE 7-DAY MED CRUISE-ROME TO ROME-, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF STARBOARD (RIGHT) OR PORT SIDE IS BETTER REGARDING THE VIEW ON BALCONY CABINS? IS THERE A HUGE DIFFERENCE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER?

I APPRECIATE THE INFO A PREVIOUS CRUISER CAN GIVE ON THIS MATTER!!

I am not a previous cruiser (yet) but we have booked a port balcony cabin on a Savona - Savona cruise. We have since heard that starboard would have been better, as you get the views of the land - going round anti-clockwise.

Dont know if that helps at all.

We had starboard - I think! (on your left as you face the front?). There was a good view going into Malta and Palermo. In Palma there was quite a good view of the Cathedral from the Resturaunt. Some of the ports are quite industrial looking and not much of a view anyway! We did not see much other 'land' as we sailed - that was probably on the other side!

Hope that helps!
