Thank you! Would you happen to have any insight on Promenade level cabins... Noise level, smoke from casino? What about Liquid Lounge... Did I understand correctly that it houses all shows and doubles as lounge late night?

 

The people I talked with that had cabins in the aft part of Deck 5 loved them. Said they were quiet and considered the Taste Bar at breakfast time to be almost their own (semi-) private buffet. Didn't hear any complaints about smoke from the casino making it to the cabins.

 

The main shows are in Liquid Lounge which does convert into a night club after the shows are over. Entertainment is offered at a number of venues - not just the main lounge. I posted a number of pictures in my review.

I must say that I am surprised with all the problems on the Sunshine Inaugural. It sounds like it truly was not finished. I hope all these issues are resolved by the time we get on for the Transatlantic November 1st.

 

I was on the inaugurals for the Dream and the Breeze and the second time out for the Magic. On all three of those voyages it was clear that they had pulled the best and most experienced to make the inaugural season a success.

 

Can't wait to sail on her. Hope she's ready....................:D

One of our tenants just returned from a cruise that I think started in Barcelona. They said they had some new cabins they just added that were already falling apart, with banging going on from all hours of the day and night above them. The carpets are stained from water that they seem to be collecting in buckets and other cilinder contraptions. They just kept moving them around where the drip comes from. They also said there were sewage smell in the hallways, as well as the show lounge, which they said they really couldn't used cause there's not enough room to hold people during shows. There was also something wrong with the pool, so everyone crowded around the new waterfall one.

 

They loved the itinerary. They just spent as much time off the ship as they could.

Cruise_Lovers, thank you for the excellent review and photos. You did a good job balancing the bad with the good. It sounds like you made the best of a difficult situation. I love your attitude!! Too many people here would be doing nothing but whining after a cruise like that. We will be on the Sunshine shortly and I trust that they have had plenty of time to get everything in top shape :)
