TrqoisWtrs Posted June 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2005 We have our cabin assignment, but discovered that it is one with a door to an adjoining cabin. Has anyone had any problems with noise, etc. with this type of room? thanks for any info.
suzsummit Posted June 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2005 the adjoinging room was filled with kids and they were always giggling and ordering from room service. And they NEVER closed their ajoining door:D. Ok - fine they were my kids.... Actually it was very quiet and if both adjoinging doors were closed you would not have noticed anything (this was on deck 6) A friend had an adjoining cabin on deck 9, i believe, and had trouble because the neighbors were chain smokers... they even tried the duct tape trick to no avail. I would be more worried about smoking rather than noise.
chessbriar Posted June 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2005 Have never had problem with noise from adjoining cabins. But we have had cabins that were not adjoining and heard the radio blasting. It's not so much the noise as it is the guests next door.
venicecruiser Posted June 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2005 The cabin I normally used to book on Horizon was this type and I never had a problem with whomever was next door.......
fllady Posted June 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2005 Twice, first time we didn't know anyone was in there until we bumped into them going to dinner one night, second time was noisy, must have had a hard of hearing person because their TV was so loud and also he had a cough. So I guess its the luck of the draw.

Rare greygypsy Posted June 22, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 22, 2005 They can be more noisy than non adjoining rooms. We've had both. If you can switch, you should consider it.
flashdog_1 Posted June 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 23, 2005 We didn't know until we entered the room and were opening closets that one door was to the room next door. i fretted a moment, but heard nothing the entire 11 nights. Saw the couple on their balcony at sail away, but other than that we'd never have known it was occupied.
