Fully booked!

Having chosen which tours to take in Skagway and Juneau on the first September trip (Zaandam - booking through Holland-America)) we find they are all fully booked for all the times offered. Is this usual ? We have the offer of going on the 'Wait List' - what are the chances of success, please?

Could it be that whilst I was trying to book (7am UK time) America slept and this was the standard answer?!
