Help With Ports

We are going to be on the Marina (Oceania) in Sep. 2014. We need suggestions for what to do/tour guides, ect. for the following ports:

Saint-Malone - 9-5:00 pm

Lorient - 12:00 - 7:00 pm

Bordeaux (Le Verdon) - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Also, is it possible to go to Normandy beaches from any of these ports?

Thank you so much for your input!

Yep, it certainly is possible. Your best bet would be from St Malo (not Saint-Malone). If you want to get a private tour you would need to do some online research and/or share your ideas on your CC Roll Call Board. There are not going to be guides/cars just waiting in St Malo so private stuff needs to be arranged in advance. There should also be some tour options offered by your ship to the Normandy beaches. Renting a car and just driving yourself is also an option although we are not personally familiar with the rental car options in this city. Saint-Malone is a rare port of call for cruise ships.

P.S. You must be careful with names in France. There are two Saint-Malones and also a St Malo! You are going to St Malo which is indeed a gateway port to the Normandy D-Day beaches area

Thank you! I am so glad to hear that about ST MALO. :o. Not sure why I made that mistake..... My husband will be very happy. Now to research a tour company! :)

Hank is correct re French spelling, and about St. Malo...great place to visit.Bordeaux is another place that is easy to do. You can find some info here on the France board and I suggest a wine trip To St. Emillion..there is info here for tours as well.If you do not want to do a tour the city itself offers a lot to do.
